Rapid Vizness

 

      Rapid Viz.... It's very difficult but do able. Masta P says that it's worth it and I guess I just gotta take his word for it. 

     Actually, I can see some usefulness from all this Rapid Viz stuff. Especially since I've had three other teachers teach me a watered down version of it. Can't wait to "learn" more.

Aaron is a kid who wakes up in a
strange world. He is very confused because of this. Whimsical and in
disbelief also describe his initial personality. He is of average
height for a nineteen year old and wears band t-shirts constantly.
He's not incredibly fat, but not incredibly skinny as well. He
squints his eyes slightly a lot which leads to him stumbling over his
own feet every now and then. When standing still he shifts most of
his weight to one side and bends his leg to compensate.

Dys is a small robot that follows Aaron around as he travels through
the city. He has a boxy body that doesn't have many curves at all. He
has small wires that stick out of his back side and one is long
enough to scrape along the ground as he moves. One of his wheels is
losing air which causes him to seem to tilt a little bit. A metal
component of his body is loose and the small gap where it rises off
his body is clearly visible. He comes up to Aaron's waist.

The
man stands just a little bit taller than Aaron. Everything about his
appearance is clean and orderly. There isn't even a stray hair on his
head. His face radiates calmness and confidence. His hands appear
normal at first, but he can morph them into beast hands with claws
whenever he wants or needs them to. He stands firmly on the ground
and his posture is never sloppy or uneven. His smile is enticing and
what you would expect from a diabolical maniac but still a little
different. He is not muscular at all. He has the build of an average
adult male. He never lets go of his cane. He walks with a slender
grace where his steps never seem to be out of turn.

These horror sketches were suprisingly difficult to do. Much harder then I thought it would have been to think of "scary" material to draw and to look at for reference. Blood and knives will only get you so far. Oh and it's Chimp time.

These remind me of my other life drawing class where we did gesture drawings of the model. Though these are a bit more advanced with the quick silhouette added the basics are pretty much the same.

I'll Be Brief

  

These are 15 quick sketches of environmental briefs that I created using random adjectives. Just like the icy castle, I quickly sketched down some ideas and then shaded and rendered them. That was the trickiest part because my W3 and W1 felt like running out on me. My W3 at the beginning and W1 luckily towards the end. That's why none of the lighter tones are entirely noticeable but I still like how they came out. There also another ten random objects. I still have no idea how I keep finding objects to sketch but I still do.

ABC123 - The RockBOT

This is ABC123. She is a rockBOT from the Jurassic period. She doesn't like T-Rexes, but she loves her pet Perodactyl! She also enjoys smashing things and her leaf dress.

I learned from this drawing not to draw the background along with the character and to never crop any part of the character off the page. Lesson learned!
