Now in Technicolor

This is my character "The Man" now in full blown color. This is actually the first time I had ever digitally colored any of my characters and I know that my teacher would just make fun of me for saying this, but I think it's pretty awesome. I enjoyed doing this and it wasn't that hard. But that's probably because it is only a basic color and then a light and shadow layer. Still though, I think he came out very well. This took me an two hours to complete.

EYES WITH SOUL!

Now these eyes have some soul in them. Who knew that it was the white of the eyes and that little bit of highlight that contains the one thing that everyone needs to continue living? ... I'm talking about the soul...

Midterm Redo Baby

These are the re-worked midterms. I think they look more consistent then the last ones and that's an improvement. I guess?

silhouette MAN

These are silhouettes of one character from Snow White and the Seven Dwarves. The hardest part of this sketch was the shading. Shading something that doesn't really have depth or definition besides it's edges is tough. For me at least. This one took me the longest with an hour and seventeen minutes.

Back to Basics

You'd think that a college kid would be able to understand primitive shading by now... Nope. At least that's not what Masta P thinks. So we find ourselves in this situation with creation 20 primitives and then shading them all. I tried to show light from different directions. I think I managed it but only time and Masta P will tell. Oh yeah this took me thirty two minutes to complete. That is because I had to look up how light would displace along a cylinder that is lit from the top. Did you know that there is no reference for that kind of stuff? Luckily I had this cylinder shaped object in my room and a light above my head.

Just Eyes

Here they are. Twenty sets of eyes... This took about fifty six minutes to do. That is mainly because thinking up different eye shapes and how to make them look like they have life is kind of hard to do. However, after about the first set of five eyes every thing got a little bit easier. I actually liked doing this.
