Well this is my beginning base mesh for my Character Modeling class. There is still work to be done but I just wanted to show it's progress. I'm happy with how it's going and what I'm learning about modeling characters. I learned from my one friend who is in a different section of the same class that they are box modeling theirs (mine is made from a cylinder). His looked good but way less efficient and cluttered with unnecessary geometry. I like the way that my teacher has shown us how to model this base mesh so far and I look for to being able to show more and more progress with this creation!

Turbine Toad
This was an assignment for my Advanced 3D class. This was essentially the art test my teacher had taken for Turbine Games. You had twenty hours and a budget of 1000 quads to create a toad based off of loose concept and reference art given. The toad I created was a bit more brighter than the one from the images but I'm happy with the way that it had come out.
The maps are all 1024 X 1024 and the software used was Maya, Zbrush, Photoshop, and mentalray. The base mesh is 998 quads. I had barely made the limit.

3D 3D 3D!
These are some images for some alien bug ships that I'm making for this game that some kids from school are making. They aren't artists and they needed someone to do the dirty art work! Now they aren't the best because I'm not a seasoned modeler yet but I'm getting there! Both are rigged too.

Bring It Back
I came up with the idea of bringing back this blog and just making it my all around art blog. Yeah, that's what I think I'll do. Great stuff! The old posts from my 2-D art class have been merged into this one and from here on out I will be posting stuff from other classes such as 3D works, concept, as well as things that I do for myself. I'm excited to get this going!
